2010 Iowa Women's Hall of Fame

The 2010 Iowa Women's Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was held at the State Historical Building at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2010. The induction of four outstanding women was celebrated.

The event is held each year in conjunction with Women's Equality Day, August 26, which commemorates the day in 1920 when American women first obtained the right to vote.

Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs Director Cyndi Pederson and the Iowa Commission on the Status of Women recognized the lives and achievements of the 2010 Iowa Women's Hall of Fame honorees, including Julia C. Addington, Mary Adelaide Lundby, Ruby L. Sutton, and Charese Elizabeth Yanney. In addition, Brad Clark of One Iowa received the Cristine Wilson Medal for Equality and Justice.
